I grew up reading Elfquest. Wolf riders. Different kinds of elves. Four fingers. That was, and still is, what I think of as Elves. The Lord of the Rings and other things with Elves were, if anything, like the “Ancient Ones” in Elfquest, but never as cool. They were… well… too wimpy. Not like REAL Elves at all. Then I started watching “The Dragon Prince” and found the Elves, the TRUE Elves I’d been missing!
“The Dragon Prince” has Moonshadow Elves, Sunfire Elves, and Star Touch Elves. They have four fingers. They have longer ears. And, most importantly of all, they are awesome!
So when I heard that they were going to be introducing Earthblood Elves in season 3 I commissioned Octoarm to do a concept of me as a possible look for the Earthblood Elves.
I say the Earthblood Elves should have beards (like many of the Elfquest Elves had) & be more… well… “earthy” than the etherial Moonshadow, Sunfire or Star Touch Elves. They are, after all, in touch with the Earth as their primal source of magic.
